Lobby Stop Request Form

Schedule our Pop-Up Library to visit your care facility or retirement community in Manatee County. Our monthly Lobby Stop provides residents with assistance in registering for a Library card, accessing e-resources and e-reading materials, and selecting physical materials to check out from our traveling library collection.

Manatee County Public Library System will:

Provide library materials available for checkout
Assist residents in selecting materials, getting library cards, and checking out
Build relationships between the library and the residents
Reserve the right to terminate service due to low or declining levels of participation, site conditions, or other factors that may impact the effectiveness of the service
Notify the site of a canceled visit as soon as possible in the event of inclement weather, vehicle maintenance, and other unforeseen situations

I understand and agree to the following responsibilities for receiving Lobby Stop services:

Provide a location for the Lobby Stop that can be easily accessed by all residents
Provide and set up two tables and two chairs to be used for the display of materials and checkout
Have adequate parking for one vehicle and space for unloading and loading of library materials
Assist with promotion of the service at my location
Work with Outreach Services staff to determine a good time to visit my location for one hour each month, allowing up to 30 minutes before and after for set-up and tear-down
Notify the library of any changes in staff that might impact the service
Notify Outreach Services staff if I need to cancel the scheduled stop no later than 4pm the day before
